Slow progress

Boxing day we shared the leftovers from xmas dinner. We couldn’t find much worth watching on TV. Martine rang from Guildford. She’d had a quiet xmas as well with her friend. I forgot to say yesterday that we texted everyone with a mobile we know to wish them happy xmas. Joan rang at 9 on xmas night and wanted to come over but Ang had just got up and didn’t want anyone around. Yesterday on one of the two walks we went on we chatted to a woman with 3 dogs we met at the backwaters. Buster made friends with her dogs while we talked. We’d met her before a while ago as she’d found my blog online when she put in a search for Turlin Moor backwaters. We both agreed that it’s a special place that not many people know about. Today we didn’t get up til 8.30ish. I took dogs out for a wee then we had a coffee and took the dogs out to the back green because I felt really rough. After they had both pooed we came back in and I fed them. We then had some toast and then took them out for a proper walk as I felt a bit better. Counted 24 swans on Lychett bay today. When we got back I made Ang a tea and I had another coffee. I had to have an anti twitch pill as well as shaking really bad today for some reason. Tried ringing Ang’s brother but his phone switched off at minute. Tried to get him all yesterday to invite him over but he didn’t answer. Hopefully will get hold of him later and invite him over for a meal. Had over 2400 hits on my post on Richard Dawkins forum to date. Hopefully start on new version of website soon.

Traditions

Tuesday Ang went to Poole to collect her new glasses. She called in at Iceland to do a shop. When she got to checkout she had to leave stuff as they couldn’t deliver. Wednesday we walked up to Lidl with dogs and she got to checkout and found they don’t take credit cards, so she had to leave stuff as had no money on us. We went down a second time and got what we needed. Called in Johns shop xmas morning for cream, milk and tomatoes. We had nut roast, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes, onions and parsnips and Yorkshire puds followed by xmas pud and cream. Afterwards I drew a piece of mistletoe on a small bit of paper and made Ang laugh. I got a kiss though! We took dogs out for a walk and then watched Harry Potter. I went for a kip after it started and woke just as it finished. Watched Dr Who and then Ang went to bed when Eastenders finished. I stayed up and did this while drinking a glass of cider. Jane rang earlier and I had an argument with her about global warming and the economy and being Jesus back on Earth. Rang her back after fed dogs. Left her watching Shrek. Ang got up about 8.30 and I finished my cider and had a coffee. Ang watched The Royle Family and I finished this and posted it. Roll on the collapse next year.

Busy week

Ang been busy most of the week. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday she went to an alcohol course. Friday she went over to her Aunt’s with her sister and Saturday she went into Poole. She says she’s done in from it all. Ang got me a takeaway last night and shared some of it. Today her sister is coming over. I got up today just after 8 and Ang was in the living room drinking. I took the dogs out for their first walk about 9 and called in at the paper shop for Ang. Rang Ang’s sister about 10.30 and told her the train times this afternoon and she said she’d prolly be on the 2.48 from Parkstone. Had toast and marmalade for breakfast.

Lidl's balloon

Ang woke me early today but managed to sleep til just before 8. Managed to find 3 videos of Mugabe recently but haven’t studied them yet. One doesn’t seem useful as sound is not in time with video. Swans have been scarce down at backwaters last few days although yesterday there were 40. Seems the cold keeps them away. January will be catastrophic for economy. Not much of a prediction now as everyone is saying similar now. Lidl opened on Saturday. When we went on the first walk with the dogs a young lad burst a balloon from Lidl’s opening and Dainty freaked. More balloons to rot in the environment for 60 years or more. After Dainty calmed down Ang went over to Lidl’s and I came back with the dogs. She came back and said it was packed and really cheap. It prolly means the death knell for John’s shop. He’s taken over the paper shop as well now which will prolly survive, although he doesn’t deliver papers now. Got Xmas voices on at minute. Don’t know why but Tony Blair was good. Had toast for breakfast.

Confession

Two days ago Ang woke me at 6.15. Yesterday she woke me at 3.00. Luckily got back to sleep that day and slept til 10.15. Got dogs out for two walks that day. Today woke at 8.45 and got dogs out after watching news. Both pork and beef in Ireland contaminated now. This was to be expected. I have recently eaten both bacon and corned beef. Sorry. Better not do that again unless I wish to force you to stop eating these animals. See this document It.
If Mugabe is not removed from power by the UN by Xmas I will remove him by Valentines day if I can find video of Mugabe making a speech on the internet.(PS sorry for your illness Margaret and George?)

Under pressure

Today the printer arrived just after 8.30. I was laid on the bed in my clothes as had tried to get some more kip after Ang woke me at 4.15. Yesterday she woke me just after 4 and I stayed up. Am terribly tired today and Ang has gone back to bed now. She’s drinking brandy like it’s going out of fashion and sleeping loads during the day. She has only had 2 sober days since she went to France. She keeps saying to me that she’s mentally ill and needs my help to get to the toilet. Yesterday she took her medication and threw up almost straight away so lost it all. I got the dogs out for three walks yesterday but only took them to the backwaters for 5 minutes this morning at about 9. Going to have a strong coffee and try and get them out for a proper walk in a while. Yesterday there were 42 swans at the backwaters. For last few weeks there has been between 30 and 40 swans there just about every day. This is the first year I’ve seen as many. Normally there is only a few that don’t stay long. Ang’s sister came over this afternoon and stayed quite a while. She comforted Ang for a while. When she left she promised Ang she'd come back tomorrow. I took the dogs out for a wee after she went as too tired to take them for a walk. Am going to try and sleep for an hour or two before have to feed them at 7.30. Ang is asleep now and hasn’t drunk since about 11 and it’s 4.30.
