Thursday Angela’s sister came for a few days. She arrived at about 4.45 with her dog Shadow. We met her at the station with Buster and they didn’t get on. Buster didn’t like him and we had to keep them apart. Shadow walked off the lead as he’s really well behaved. I cooked a cheese and onion flan with chips and peas which Ang and her sister said they enjoyed. We talked about our lack of success in finding a flat for her locally. I introduced Dainty to Shadow and she sort of accepted him. She was nervous though as Shadow is much bigger than her. Later we went out together and tried Buster off the lead with Shadow. We had to keep an eye on them though as they kept sizing each other up. I had to split them up once which wasn’t pleasant. Ang’s sister left late and went back to Shadow at Ang’s.
Friday Ang’s sister came over and Ang and her sister went to visit her Ang’s adoptive Mum. Ang’s Aunt and Great Aunt were at the hospital as well and they met with a doctor. They made a decision about Ang’s adoptive Mums care and visited her. She was very distressed and Ang came home upset. Ang’s sister went over to see one of their brothers and they came back later. Buster couldn’t get on with the brother and had to be put in the bedroom. We all talked til late and they went back to Ang’s about 12.30.
Saturday we got a phone-call from Ang’s Aunt saying her adoptive Mum died at about 5pm. Ang cried a lot. Her Aunt lost her Aunt 8 days ago as well. When Ang’s sister arrived later we told her and there was more crying. We went out for a walk to Ham Common with all the dogs. While near the water we took it in turns to let either our two off or Shadow. He loved the water and fetched a stick a few times. He had a very frantic doggy paddle when he first went in though as if he wasn’t used to it. When we got back from the walk Ang and her sister had chicken in breadcrumbs with roast potatoes, 3 veg and gravy which they hadn’t had yesterday. Ang’s sister split her time between us and her brother. We went for a couple of walks and kept the dogs apart. We found a flat in Parkstone for her sister that would take a dog and arranged a viewing for Monday.
Sunday Ang went to visit her Aunt. She had broccoli quiche and salad with her Aunt and then went to a spiritualist church. Afterwards they discussed funeral arrangements. Ang got a lift home from her Aunts husband. Her sister visited a friend in Merley and missed the last bus back. She borrowed her friends car and collected her things from Ang’s flat. She then went back to her friends after leaving all the money with Ang for her flat.
Monday Ang visited her Aunt and traveled around doing various things for her adoptive Mums funeral with her. At 6 she viewed the flat and accepted it on behalf of her sister. She got home about 7.45 after leaving about 11 with her brother.
Tuesday we tried to have a lazy day. Dog food arrived about 11 but was short 5 packs of Busters food. Have to get onto them tomorrow as no-one rang like I asked the driver. Angela got phone-call from owner of flat and had to go and pay deposit. She was really fed up when she got back and didn’t cheer up even after a walk to Ham Common with the dogs. She went home just before six after helping with this post.
