Madeleine arrests

Tuesday Ang and I had a reasonable day. Managed to get the dogs out a few times as weather wasn’t bad. Wednesday was ok until some woman shouted at me while I was waiting outside the shops for Ang. I had to go somewhere that day and ended up having to take a taxi. Only managed to get dogs out on the green for the rest of the day after I got back. Today we got some good walks to the Backwaters as weather was just cloudy with a strong breeze. I managed to do a little painting as well. Hopefully get some more done tomorrow. Want to get this panel finished soon. Watched lots of news about floods and two arrests associated with Madeleine today. Ang has been eating last few days and we had chicken in breadcrumbs with chips and green beans this evening. After Eastenders and Holby City Ang watched a re-run of Catherine Tate and I did this post.

Lazy days

Spent the last few days looking after Ang and the dogs. Managed to get her to eat a few meals and lots of walks with the dogs. Watched quite a bit of Glastonbury on TV and tried to enjoy the reasonable weather we’ve had while the rest of the country suffered the wettest June weather on record. Today we had quite a bit of rain and got soaked twice taking the dogs out. We tried to watch some of Wimbledon but that was rained off as well. I can’t remember the first day ever being rained off before. Managed to find the Java I need for my new page but haven’t got it set up and tested yet as it’s quite complicated. We watched the Saving Planet Earth programs yesterday and today. Ang got really upset about the polar bears and didn’t want to watch tonight’s program about gorillas so I watched it while she was on her computer. Fed dogs at 7.40 and watched yesterdays Casualty. Feel like an early night as Buster woke us at 5.50 this morning desperate to have a poo.

New page

Yesterday Dainty perked up some more after a really bright start. Managed to get them for a couple of good walks to the Backwater. Went to the Boat Beach once as well. Had scampi, chips and peas and a milky drink to eat during the day. Most days recently I’ve been having veg curry and chapattis. Ang came over for a while and I had two visitors in the morning. Got to bed about 12.30.
Today Ang came over at 6.10 and stayed all day. I got the dogs to the Backwaters twice, down the shops once and to Ham Common on the evening. Had Shreddies for breakfast and fish fingers with Ang for a main meal. It was the first thing Ang has eaten in 6 days. Am really worried about her. She’s staying the night so I’ll be able to look after her. Hopefully she’ll eat again tomorrow. Watched a lot of news today and wrote a new article for my website. Need to find some java on internet or write a piece before I can upload the page. Hopefully get it done before Monday. Want the page up by the end of the month at latest so got plenty of time to complete it. Priority is it works when it’s up so need to thoroughly test it.

Dainty's best day

Yesterday after the Southern Electric man had been I did myself a veg curry and chips. Took dogs out onto green and Dainty had a wee when she went out. Watched TV for rest of the day and kept offering Dainty water. Took Buster out for one long walk. Fed them at 7.30 and got to bed about 10.
Woke today at 6 and Dainty was really bouncy. Took them both out for a wee. Fed them at 7.30 and gave Dainty her pain killer on some chicken and her antibiotic after her breakfast. Took them out about 8 separately to have a poo, which they both did. At 10 I decided to take them both for a walk to the Backwaters. Buster managed some time off the lead but had to keep Dainty on the lead. Dainty seemed uncomfortable on the way back so only went out on the green with them until about 6 on the evening when I took them for a walk to the Boat Beach. Ang came over about 4. Fed them at 7.30 and gave Dainty her antibiotic. Hopefully tomorrow Dainty will be up to more walks. Be glad when she can get off the lead and exercise properly again. There’s quite a difference in her today although she’s not drinking herself yet. She’s drinking when I remind her after meals but not of her own volition. Hopefully things should be back to normal soon.

Dainty's check-up

Ang came over yesterday shortly after I got out the bath. Took Buster down shops to get her a couple of things. Came back and watched TV while keeping an eye on Dainty. Had to offer her water every hour as she still won’t get up to eat or drink. Took then out on the green every hour an a half. Dainty only had 1 more wee all day. Fed them at 7.30. Dainty had to be fed where she was lying. Got to bed about 9.30 after a last wee for them both.Woke just after 6 today and took Buster out for a wee. Dainty had a poo when I took her out. Fed them at 7.30. Dainty had her antibiotic and then her pain medicine on some chicken. Afterwards she had her breakfast and went out for a wee. Couldn’t get a taxi to vets so asked next door neighbour. He agreed and got to vets at 9.03. Dainty checked out ok and Jack brought me home with her. Buster was howling when I got back. Took him out for a wee and then watched some news. Ang came around about 11 and I took Buster to the shops to get her a couple of things and get some money for myself from the post office. Got back and took Dainty out on the green where she had a poo. Tried to crash for a while as tired but someone came to the door. It was bloke from Southern Electric trying to con me into switching supplier. He had my address ringed on a clipboard and he wasn’t being honest in what he was telling me. It shouldn’t be allowed.

Spay day

Woke 6ish Friday and examined Dainty as she kept licking her foot. Had to cut fur between 2 of her toes and discovered a small hole. Panic. Sorted dogs and got her to vets for an appointment at 10.10. He looked and advised exploratory surgery. I asked him to give a rough price and decided to get her spayed while he was estimating the bill. He then adjusted the estimate when I asked if he could spay her while under for her leg. I stayed while she had her pre-med. It comprised of an anaesthetic, a painkiller and an antibiotic. She squealed the place down when she had the 3rd injection. I said sorry to her and fussed her loads and left a very groggy Dainty about 10.45. Got a taxi back home and waited for phone call from the vet to pick know outcome.
Took Buster out when I got back and Ang went home. Got back and tried to take mind off Dainty by watching TV. After a couple of hours took Buster out again to the Backwaters. Got phone call from vet early afternoon. Both ops went ok and Dainty was awake but very groggy. Ready to pick up 4.30 to 5. Got off phone and ordered a taxi that would let her lie on the back seat for 4.30. Took Buster for another walk and then woke Ang just after 4. She came over about 4.20 to watch Buster while I picked Dainty up.
When she was walked out she was very unsteady on her feet. The bill was over £275 and I asked for some painkillers for her which was extra. Got her out into the waiting taxi and the guy drove us home. Took her straight into the bedroom on her own. Kept checking on her every 10 minutes but she was flaked out. After about 3 hours she wagged her tale at me one time when I went into her. That brought a smile to my face. She wouldn’t drink or eat though which was worrying me. Got an early night at about 10.30.
Woke Saturday at 6ish and got Buster out for a wee. Tried Dainty but she could barely walk today now her painkilling injection had worn off. Spoke to vet about her not eating and agreed to bring her in later that day if no luck. I boiled some chicken breast and when it had cooled put her painkilling liquid on it. She took it off a plate where she was laying. Afterwards she took some water out a shallow dish as well. Ang came over on the afternoon and I took Buster to get her prescription. He enjoyed the walk as he’d only been out on the green. When I got back Ang went home and I carried on looking after Dainty. I spent all Saturday offering her water every hour and taking Buster out on the green. I tried Dainty 4 times during the day but she could barely walk. She ate again on the night-time a mixture of chicken and dog food and mixer. She drank quite well as well. Got an early night again.
Woke Sunday 6ish and took Buster out. Tried Dainty and she tried to walk. After about 5 minutes out with her she had a massive wee at last. First I know she’s had since Friday. Tried her with her breakfast but she turned her nose up at it. Boiled some more chicken and mixed that with it. She took that and the dog-food with her meds under it. Took Buster for a walk to Backwaters. I’m having to give her her antibiotics morning and night but just shove them down her throat. Imperative she has them the same time each day exactly 12 hours apart. She spits out tablets if you put them in food. Watched BBC 1 from 9ish til about 12. Buster will have to wait for another long walk as want a bath and something to eat after doing this post. He’ll have to make do with a wander around the green outside.

Broken wing

Woke about 6 this morning. Got dogs out and Ang made us both a coffee. Fed dogs about 7.30 and took them for a poo on green when they’d eaten. Went to backwaters about 8.45 and called in post office on the way back so Ang could get some money. When we got home Ang got ready to go to Poole and I watched some news on TV.
Ang got back from Poole about 12.15 and we took the dogs out for a walk to the Backwaters. We got back about 1.30 and Ang decided to go back to hers to get some sleep. I decided to crash for a while as well and slept til the phone woke me at about 3.30. Decided to use up some left-over pasta for something to eat after taking dogs out on green for a wee. Took dogs for a walk to the Boat Beach just before 6. Got back and watched Eastenders and Holby city. Fed dogs at 8 and decided to take them for another walk to the Boat Beach. Dainty scared an injured seagull into the waters edge. Reported it to RSPCA when got home and hopefully they will collect it. At least they’ll put it down humanely instead of some cat getting it.

Sunday to today

Haven’t posted for a few days as been watching TV too much. Nothing much happened Sunday and ordered a book and some groceries Monday. Tuesday was quite dull as well but we’ve got into a routine of a walk about 8 with dogs then take them to the field behind the railway track about midday. We play ball and sit around for about an hour. Groceries arrived Tuesday from Indian foodstore. Dogs enjoyed the unpacking. Today at midday we went to Ham Common instead but didn’t manage to see the swans. Don’t know how many babies still alive. It was 4 last time we saw them. Did some surfing and checked out a forum for a while. Got fed up after looking through about 200 posts.

Last 3 days

Thursday got up 6.30ish and sorted dogs out by 7.30. Got them out for their first walk at 8.15 to the Backwaters. Drifted through the rest of the day watching news channels and sorting dogs out. Ang went home early evening and I fed dogs about 8. Settled down for a bit of TV then got an early night about 10.
Friday got up about 6.15 and got dogs out for a wee. Ang came over about 7 and made us a coffee each. Fed dogs 7.15ish and took them on their first walk about 7.45. We wandered around the Backwaters for a while and came back via the shops. We had a milky drink for breakfast. Spent morning watching news channels and had courgette frittata with salad and new potatoes for dinner. Took dogs out after dinner to the picnic bench where Dainty could get to water. Stayed a while then came back via the shop to get some mint sauce, sour cream and chives and some Dairylea spread. When we got home we made some Indian snacks from potatoes, cabbage, carrots and onions. I boil everything but the onions and then chop it all up quite small except for then potatoes which I leave the size of oxo cubes. Next I make a small amount of really thick flour and water batter to which I add loadsa curry powder and paprika. Next add all the chopped veg and mix thoroughly. Deep fry small lumps of this in very hot oil. Serve with dip made from vinegar, mint sauce, chilli powder and filtered water. Ang likes hers with soar cream and chive dip. Can warm them if you like but quite nice cold. We took dogs out for another walk when we’d finished cooking and then came back and watched soaps. Fed dogs at 8 and took them out for a wee. Went to bed about 10.30.
Woke today about 7 and got dogs out. Had coffee with Ang and fed dogs 7.45ish and then took them on green for poo. About 8.45 we took dogs for first walk to go and get Ang’s prescription. We went via the paths around Upton Country park and also came back that way. Dogs met lots of other dogs on the way back and had a really good walk. Got back and had milky drink for breakfast. Watched some news and then decided to take dogs out again. We were both a little tired so we went to the field behind the railway track and sat and played ball with the dogs. After about half an hour we walked back and I crashed out for a couple of hours.
When I woke we had some pasta Ang made and then took dogs for another walk. Got back in time for Dr Who and while it was on Ang had a bath. Ang managed to catch the end of the episode and wants to see it all when I watch it again. May do that tomorrow just to recheck the dialogue.

Poor Buster

Yesterday we got up at 6 and got dogs out for a walk early after they had been fed. Ang was much better and we went to the Backwaters and wandered around for a while. We came back via the shops and got back about 8.15. Ang went into Poole to meet her Aunt about 9 and I took dos for their second walk about 10.45. I met Ang from the train mid afternoon with the dogs. They went mental when Ang came up the steps from the other platform. We got home and took the dogs out about 4.30 to the Backwaters. Ang had a cheese salad and I ordered a Vindaloo. We watched the soaps and fed the dogs at 8. Discovered a tic on Buster and Frontlined both of them. Finally got to bed about 11.
Today we woke about 7 and sorted dogs out and pooed by 8.15. My visitor arrived at 8.45ish and when she left Ang came back from having put her washing on in her flat. We got the dogs out on there first walk and wandered around the Backwaters with them. Busters tic fell off when he got back. He was sitting next to me and it fell and hit my hand which was pretty vile. I hate tics.
We got dogs out for there second walk to the Boatbeach. The tide was almost in and we stayed and watched the swifts for a while. I managed to get some video but haven’t downloaded camcorder yet. On the way back we stopped and talked to a neighbour with a lovely Jack Russell called Jasper. While we were talking a Scottie terrier came running up bit Dainty, making her squeal, and attacked Buster. The owner came running up and managed to grab it. There was loadsa blood and it looked like it was Buster. I got him home and checked him mouth. I cleaned the blood away with salt water and couldn’t discover any injury. Ang and I went around to the owner of the Scottie and spoke to her. She said she couldn’t find any injuries on her dog but he was covered in blood in places. I came back home after the woman apologised for about the 20th time and checked all inside Busters mouth again and all around his face. Definitely no injuries. I’m sure it was the Scotties blood and they just missed where he’s hurt. They’ll prolly find it when it scabs over in next couple of days if they check there dog regular. I go over our two after supper every night when I do grooming. Ang had pizza and salad for dinner and I had rest of curry from yesterday. Spent afternoon watching TV and took dogs for final walk about 5.30 to the Boatbeach again. The tide was on the way out but they still could go in the sea. We stayed a while and left when some boats were coming in to land near where we were. I cooked Ang plaice, chips and peas when we got back. I had some brown bread and butter and some milk. Took dogs out to green about 7.30 and ran into a policeman on the way back in. Dainty growled at him when he tried to say hello to her and Buster started barking. I called Dainty away and told her to go in. Buster wanted a piece of him though and was a nightmare getting him in. Spent evening with TV. Fed dogs at 8 and final wee about 10.30. Did this post and Ang went to bed about 11.45. I’ll be glad to join her.

Sun Halo

Dogs have had a real crappy day today. After we got them out for their first walk of the day Ang fell ill and we had to call a Dr out. I’ve had to spend the day looking after her and have only got the dogs out onto the green. Hopefully she’ll be better tomorrow but I’ll have to leave her to get dogs out for a decent walk. She’s not in a much pain at the minute but it comes and goes.
I had a vindaloo last night and finished it off today for dinner. Ang not allowed to eat at the minute. Dogs are both asleep at minute. I downloaded some video I took today of a rainbow completely surrounding the sun. Was so glad to capture it on video. I’ve never seen it before in my lifetime. It was quite spectacular in life and the video doesn’t do it justice.

Survey results in brief

Saturday and Sunday went quite well. Ang was over all weekend and we got the dogs on some nice walks Sunday. Saturday watched Dr Who. Some good dialogue this week. Took dogs on an evening walk both days as too hot for Dainty to be out long. Hopefully be better today as its overcast at the minute and not too warm.
We woke at 7 today and got dogs on their first walk to the Backwaters about 8.15. Buster met a few dogs and we came back via the shops. The tide was out but not many birds on the mud of the bay. We had poached egg on toast for breakfast and about 10.30 the dog food was delivered. Got supplies for dogs for a couple of months now.
Sorted the MP Survey replies out over the week-end.
Of those that responded 50% of Conservative MP’s and over 60% of Liberal Democrat MP’s didn’t understand what I was asking yet only 25% of Labour MP’s didn’t understand.
There were an equal number of responses from Labour and Conservative and the Liberal Democrats were not far behind.
Not one response commented on the Covenant of ARK. Various excuses were used as to why they couldn’t respond the favourite being that they don’t do surveys.
Only one MP wished me luck and that was a Labour MP.

Milestone

I now have 100 posts behind me. Realised I got messed up big style by my visitor on 23rd of last month. All my posting went to pot the next 10 days. Just starting to get back in the swing of it now. Now I’ve got a problem cause I have to see her again Wednesday. Wonder how this is going to pan out.
Sainsburys arrived just after 11 and got the dogs out straight after. Only just managed to get all the stuff in the freezer. When I got back with the dogs I watched some TV and finally got my breakfast. Shreddies with a banana. Had been surviving on sweet coffee til then. At 2 I took Dainty to the shops to get some things for Ang. I took her to the Backwaters for 5 minutes after the shops but she seemed lost without Buster. It was very warm as well so I took her home. By the time we got home she was getting really hot. When I got back I took Buster out on the green for a wee. At 4 I rang the chemist to check Ang’s prescription was ready to pick up then went and collected it with Buster. At 6 I took them both for a walk to the Boatbeach and around to the Backwaters. When we got to the Backwaters the pair of them went tearing across some young lad makeshift cricket pitch. The lads laughed as Buster chased after Dainty in a semicircle in front of the bowler. I apologised and called them to get their leads on. Amazingly they both came. Working with Buster is paying off. Always take treats now.
When I got back I had a cold chicken salad with new potatoes. I fed the dogs after and had saved them some chicken for after there dinner. Buster had to sit and wait while Dainty finished her supper. They both gave paws before as well. I’m settling down to a repeat of this weeks Dr Who. Will get dogs out once more before bed. Have got naked shredded chicken with spicy Korean sauce for later. Can’t wait.

Got up 7ish Thursday and sorted dogs out by 9 and on their first walk. Had fried egg and fried potatoes in a sandwich for breakfast. Did some tidying up and took dogs for second walk about 12.30. Got back and crashed out til just before 3. Took dogs for 3 walk to the Backwaters and came back and crashed out again. Got up about 6.15 and took dogs for a final walk to the Backwaters about 6.30. Spent rest of evening watching TV. Ordered a Chinese about 8.30 and got to bed about 11.
Woke this morning about 7 and sorted dogs out. Got them fed just after 8 and pooed by 8.30. Waited for milkman to deliver and paid him for the week. Went down shops with dogs for Ang and then came back and started washing up. Ang’s delivery arrived about 10.30 and now waiting for Sainsburys to deliver before taking dogs on a decent walk. Should be here between 11 and 12 so hopefully be out with dogs soon.
Saw an item about police getting help from psychics with the search for Madeleine. Makes me want to send my two drawing somewhere. They were drawn a couple of weeks apart. The first when I first saw a picture of her on TV and was the image that immediately came into my head. It shows a stall on the side of a dirt track. The stall had a triangular flag or bunting.

The second was nearly 2 weeks later when looking at more images of Madeleine on TV. It shows a concrete pipe with metal bars over it coming out the side of a hill.

I’m not a good artist but maybe they make sense to someone.
