Samson and the soldier

Ang got up after phone-call with her Aunt and we decided to take the dogs out early. We went to Ham Common lake and they both went in for a swim. There was a tent on the shore and while we were there a soldier turned up with his dog Samson. We talked briefly and learnt that the dog lived with him at the local camp and goes running with him. We had to leave when the swan turned up though as it will attack the dogs. Dainty went in and fetched the stick that the soldier had thrown for Samson. She carried it home and has fallen asleep with it next to her. Buster usually brings plastic bottles home which go in the recycle bin.
I’ve put some haddock fish cakes in for dinner. Ang doesn’t want sweet potato mash so I’m going to do chips and peas with them. She’s much better now and looking forward to the meal I’m going to cook her.
Watched a bit of Euronews when came back. The outlook for Europe this summer is quite bleak. Predictions that it will take til the end of the century before effects will be extreme seem laughable now. It’s here already as I warned in this document posted in 2004 on my website.
