Packaging and water

I’m going to have a moan now. When I got the fishcakes out the freezer earlier they were in a plastic container inside a cardboard sleeve. I’m annoyed for two reasons. One is that you could have fit at least 4 in the carton not the two there was. The second is that the plastic isn’t recyclable. Now I’ve got to dispose of it. They were Sainsbury’s own brand as well. Feel like taking it back to Sainsbury’s.
Ang wasn’t impressed either. The box says “CHUNKS of smoked haddock with spring onion and GRUYERE cheese in an oat and HERB breadcrumb”. She was looking forward to that. However there were no chunks of haddock and you couldn’t taste the cheese. She was very disappointed. Wonder if they are breaking the trade’s description act?
My second thought comes from Ang. It’s about the local water. She only drinks filtered water now and it’s all we give the dogs. When we visited Coventry I got her to taste the water there. Her comment was “It’s like drinking from a mountain spring”. Local water here out the tap smells of bleach and tastes vile. Yet it’s all the locals know. I wonder what the health implications are?
We’re going to take dogs on a really long walk in a bit so need to take some water and a bowl. We’re going to a place we call “Mucky pond”. It’s a local area that has saltwater marsh, woods and some scrubland on the edge of Lychett Bay. One of Dainty’s favourite walks.
